7 Reason Why Pakistani Dramas are Better Than Indian Dramas

We all know about SRK, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif etc but can we name even a single actor or actress from Indian dramas? No, because we hardly follow the Indian Dramas here in Pakistan. Because of its excellent story, better acting, and wonderful production, Pakistani dramas are equally famous across the border. Infect Pakistani dramas are in India are like Indian movies here in Pakistan. This is the reason why Pakistani drama celebrities like Ali Zafar, Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed, Marwa Hocane and many others have a huge fan following in India. Here are some the reasons why Pakistani dramas are better, much better, than Indian dramas.

1. Pakistan Dramas Give Less Shocks & Headache Than Indian Dramas

Kya (Zoom in), Kya (zoom out) kya (Zoom from left) Kya kya (zoom in, out from above) with loudest possible background sound, this is how a suspense or shocking scene picturised in an Indian drama. Two or three such scenes in a drama and you definitely going to have a swear headache or may head twist or both. While in Pakistani dramas, such scenes are much more relaxed and based upon acting skills rather than zoom in, zoom out and background sounds.

2. Pakistani Dramas have Less Episode While Indian Dramas Continue from Generations to Generations

Pakistani dramas usually have 15-25 episode, one episode per week means a drama ends in maximum 3 to 4 months, that’s it. While the Indian dramas continue literally  from generations to generations. Once I saw an Indian drama when I was in college, a couple of weeks ago my son was watching the new episode of the same drama.

3. Nothing is Permanent in Indian Dramas, Not Even Death

In a Pakistani drama, when someone dies, it simply means that he is “dead”. he can’t return to this world nor to the drama anymore. While in Indian dramas, the death of any actor/actresses is just like the retirement of Shahid Afridi, if people don’t accept it, he will return back after a few episodes.

4. In Indian Dramas, Maa may Look Younger Than Daughter

In Pakistani dramas, the emphasis is on the story and acting not on commercialism and glamour. While the situation is totally opposite in Indian dramas.  When a producer in Pakistan casts someone for the role of Maa, they make it sure,  she actually looks like a Maa. But in Indian dramas, sometimes Maa may have more makeup than her daughter.

5. Sets and Locations are More Realistic in Pakistani Dramas

Almost every single Pakistani drama shots at actual locations. Houses are real, Lawns are real, Offices are real, everything is real. But when it come to Indian dramas, most of the times, they shot it on artificial sets. Every time you see a new drama, you can easy associate it with any other drama because there will be so much resemblance in the sets.

6. Pakistani Drama Names Are Short & Simple, Easy to Remember

Pakistani drama names are short, sweet and simple which makes it easy to remember and pronounciate. Humsafar, Mann Mayal, Audari, these are some of the names of Pakistani dramas. But when it comes to India, drama names are as long as an essay, kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi, Hum Ko Tum Se Ho Gaya Hai Par Kay Karein

7. Pakistani Dramas Have Awesome OSTs

And finally Pakistani dramas have awesome OSTs and sometimes these OSTs may be more popular than the drama itself. Wo Humsafar Tha, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Audari are some of the examples.
